Exursion to Veli Brijun

“Martinabela exursion” organises trips every day to the largeset National Park Island of «Veli Brioni». The exursion starts on board MB “Martinabela” through the Port of Pula towards the eastern part of the Brion archipelago. Sailing out of ancient Pula for a few hours with its Amphiteatre in the distance in continues towards the 14 pearls of the Nothern Adriatic.

The Archipelago consist of 736 hectars while is shores are 44.6km long. It has a Meditarenan climate of 2387hrs of annual sunshine per year and has 6680 species of plants and trees and 150 types of bird. The Brioni Islands holds culutural history from Neolitic times, Iliric ruins and monuments from antiquity, Christian Byzanine and Middle Ages until today.

Sailing into the Port of Veli Brijuni you are greeted by a guide in either Italian, English and Croatian language and with their expert knowledge starts the wonderful day. Sightseeing on „Veli Brijun“ lasts 4 hrs approx. First part of sightseeing is by tourist train around the safari park. Animals living here have exotic shelters where they come back at night and in bad weather. In the park are antelope, gazelle, camel, lama zebra, ostrich, elephants…

 A visit to the archeological museum and entry into „Tito on Brioni“ museum shows photographs of the many dignitaries who visited the island whilst Tito had his summer residency.
